Playa Santiago
Playa Santiago is a very friendly, small and unspoilt fishing town on the south coast of La Gomera. It has a lovely harbour and many beachside bars and restaurants. At the moment the beach is rock, but work has begun to convert it to sand, and the sea is safe to swim in.
The town boasts a chemist, two banks, supermarkets and a variety of shops, and still remains totally unspoilt by the modern world.
Pueblo Don Thomas
Pueblo Don Thomas is a brand new village, designed and built by the world wide renowned Fred Olsen group of companies. It is situated near to Playa Santiago, which is the sunniest town of La Gomera.
The Fred Olsen organisation holds with the old traditional values of ‘only the best will do’ and ‘the customer is always right’. Pueblo Don Thomas is a complex, that when finished will have 400 apartments and villas built with top quality materials, and finished to an excellent standard with stunning gardens and communal areas.
It is an upmarket village that will be the ‘Puerto Banus’ of the Canaries. It is a place that combines top quality accommodation with a tranquillity that we believe will be hard to find anywhere else in the world.
The village offers stunning sea views, a club house with bars, restaurant, gym, tennis courts and excellent golf facilities. The Tecina Golf Course was designed by the Scottish golf architect Donald Steel, who designed the New Saint Andrews course in Scotland and many others throughout Europe.
Whilst work continues building the club house, all the facilities at the nearby Hotel Jardin Tecina can be used by our guests. The building work should have minimal effect on your holiday, but rents are of course discounted to reflect any inconvenience.

Getting There
You fly to Tenerife South Airport, where you can either hire a car or take a taxi to the port of Los Christianos, (approx 22 euros), where you have a choice of ferry. The ferries leave 4 times a day, and are very easy to book onto.
The ferry journey is part of what makes La Gomera so special, because it is a journey to a type of life that is so rapidly disappearing in the modern world that we live in today. We are sure that you will agree following your visit to Pueblo Don Thomas in La Gomera.
Ferry choice 1. The new Fred Olsen luxury ferry to San Sebastian. Crossing time 40 minutes. This is the ferry that you can take a car onto. It is a luxury ferry with bars, shops and play areas for children. www.fredolsen.es
Ferry choice 2. The Garajonay Express Ferry. This is the ferry that will take you straight to Playa Santiago. Although this is not as big a ferry as Fred Olsen’s, it is fast, and offers a small bar for refreshments.
When you arrive at La Gomera, we can arrange for Juan, a very special local taxi driver, to meet you and drive you to Pueblo Don Thomas for the start of your holiday.www.garajonayexpres.com
You could also fly to Tenerife North Airport, and take the connecting flight to La Gomera, where Juan could also pick you up.
(If you work hard, need a break, and appreciate the finer things in life, we recommend that you visit La Gomera, and treat your family and yourself to a luxurious holiday in our villa or apartment, where tranquillity and quality come as standard).
